Personal Patch Fixes

With the 1.07 patch right around the corner I feel that I should address some of the changes they will be making, into my mod.

  • Cranes will be able to once again construct all the base defenses.
  • Cranes can be able to make cranes.
  • All war factories will be able to make Mini-MCVs like the Construction Yards.
  • Construction Yards can build MCVs after the tech center is constructed.

Friday July 27 - Update (New Comp?)

Hey guys, from the looks of it there will be CNC3 expansion soon. According to my sources it looks like renegade effects (the people who did the special effects for the CNC3 full motion videos) are hard at work on some CNC related project. Now couple that with the announcement set for the 7th and you got yourself a really good chance of getting a CNC expansion.

Also from the looks of it I'm getting my self a new PC to work on the mod. Here are the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ winchester socket 939
1gb corsair xms ddr400 ram
gigabyte ga-k8nf nforce4 motherboard
ati radeon x700 pro 256mb
Now for the ideas:
  • I'm planning to replace the EA intro with the westwood studios one just for the hell of it.
  • I might be making missions now that I have a computer than can handle worldbuilder correctly.
  • If these missions do happen expect some really awful (-ly awesome) full motion videos from me.

Welcome PlanetCNC and CNCDen

Hey guys, looks like I've made the front page of CNCDen & Planet CNC
If you're here from Planet CNC and CNCDen, welcome to the blog.

C&C Retarded is the continuation of the "Retarded" mod series which began in 2003 under the name "Gunrun's Mod", for the game Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour. This mod, unlike any other mod to hit the 10 thousand downloads mark, is created by one person.

What makes my mods different from everyone else is my approach. I, like many of you, have no clue how to model units. So I use my ability to understand the code behind the game to manipulate it to the way I see as being the most fun. For me I don't care what I do to a game. As long as in the end, it is a fun experience.

Today's Mod Ideas:
  • Implementation of Infantry Armadas - Gigantic Squads of infantry composed of all the infantry of the faction excluding the commando.
  • The ability to produce Carry-Alls and OX transports from the faction's airfield.
  • The Obelisk Supreme to be named "Obelisk of Infinity" (if you can make up an better name post it)

Mod Ideas:

  • Have the Juggernauts deal twice as much damage when using their special ability.
  • All vehicles will have the ability to run over any infantry.
  • Nod and GDI will now be able to deploy repair drones just like the Scrin.
  • Scrin will now be able to special ability drop Ion Storms.

My Current CNC3 Mods

Intel Database Mod
All this basically does it allow you to view all your in game intel databases.

Mo Movies Mod
This mod gives you the ability to not have to play through out all of C&C3 to watch everyone of the movies within the game.

PreTarded (For the C&C3 Demo Only)

It gives you the ability to sell any of your buildings and get 10 times as much as you spent on it. It also disables all your intro videos!

The Current Ideas I Have Posted

Harvesters

Nod:
The harvester now has a button that will blow it up when pressed, catalyst missile style. Destroying near by tiberium type units.

Scrin:
Harvesters able to harvest tiberium glaciers.

GDI:
When railgun upgrade is purchased the harvester will have a preditor style railgun. Could you just imagine the harvester rushes?!
Tiberium
Tiberium Recycling System:
All Factions will be able to recycle unneeded tiberium and place it back onto any field for their allies to harvest. These recycled packages will come in the form of 500, 1000, 5000 and 10000 value crystal formations . Each package will cost 10% more than you will get from re-harvesting them. (e.g. a crystal formation that will yield 500 when harvested will cost 550 to place, a 1000 will cost 1100 to place, etc) These recycled crystals formations will be buildable under the support structures tab with a refinery as it's pre-requisite.


Decoy Tiberium:
It is a power given to nod. It is basically a seed tiberium in which the tiberium when harvested gives nothing in return. It only comes in the color green. It is also 2x times larger than the regular seed tiberium power.
New Tech Level
When you build your regular tech building, a new construction tab will come up. From this tab you can build two things. The Advanced Tech Center and a Crane (Crane will build twice as fast and cost half as much).

The Advanced Tech Center allows construction of super powerful structures/units and a new special ability.

GDI and Nod:
(Structure) Liquid Tiberium Spikes $2500

Scrin:
(Structure) Tiberium Glaciers $2500 (Does the same as spikes)

Nod:
(Structure - Defense) Obelisk Supreme $10,000-
A extremely large obelisk that can attack air. It has very high splash damage due to its extremely large beam of light. Anything directly hit by this beam will die. Only one of these buildings are allowed to be constructed. The power required to use this building is equivalent to 13 obelisks of light. Health = MCV's

(Unit - Infantry) Black Hand Reserves $5,000-
Basically black hands with laser chain guns. Come in squads of 10. Detect Stealth. Each guy is powerful as a venom. They can attack air.

(Unit - Vehicle) The Sathanas $8,000-
Gigantic Avatar with a beam cannon that can attack air units. Health = MCV's It's beam is twice as powerful as the obelisk of light. It has the special ability to make units next to it stealth, but it itself isn't stealth.

(Special Ability) The Word of Kane $3000 (Every 5 Minutes)-
Turns all units with in the target range to your side. Works on aircraft.

GDI:
(Structure - Defense) Advanced Guard Towers $2500
Play Renegade. Health = Sonic Emitter. Can attack air. Uses as much power as the sonic emitter. Range is Sonic Emitter x 1.5. (You can build as many as you want)

(Unit - Infantry) Mosquitoes $800
They can only fly. They have the same rifle as the zone troopers. They make the most annoying sound in the world... They attack both air and ground. They come in squads of 1. Health is the same as zone troopers. (These guys build very fast. Riflemen Fast)

(Unit - Vehicle) Hover Mammoth Tanks $3500
They Friggin Hover. Can climb over cliffs and hover over water. They also move twice as fast. They are constructed in half the amount of time it takes to build a regular Mammoth MK3.

(Special Ability) Tiberium Cleanser $3000 (Every 5 Minutes)-
Destroys all Tiberium within the target range.

Scrin:
(Structure - Defense) Storm Rider Hive $20,000
It's very large and tall. Health = MCV. Has 10 Storm Riders. Requires ten times as much power as the storm columns. Range is 3 times as large as the range of storm columns. Only one is allowed to be built.

(Unit - Infantry) Buzzer Clouds $4000
Buzzers that are 4 times as big as the normal.

(Unit - Vehicle) The Angelina Jolie $3000 (According to the Alien AI this is the closest word in the English language that can describe this unit)
Every 12 seconds a Visceroid is spawned from this unit. The Visceroids follow this unit around and attack for it. The unit is as big as a mammoth tank.

(Special Ability) Create a Tiberium Crater $10,000
Misc
Orcas will now be more like Venoms now. No longer will they have to rearm at the airfield nor land. This means you can now have more than 4 Orcas for every airfield.

Orcas, when the railgun upgrade is purchased, will now be able to fire pred tank strength railgun beams.

Motherships will now create an EMP when destroyed.

All superweapons, when used, will cause an EMP effect twice the range of the actual explosion.

Nod Militia will now be weakened by a factor of four and will only cost $50.

Militia will now be trainable at all nod defense hubs.

The Nod Soldier will now be added to the nod faction's tier one infantry.

All mini MCVs can be upgraded to actual MCVs. Cost is $5000 Time is 20 Seconds.

Scrin Advanced tech centers will now be able to give the player the ability to upgrade all scrin aircraft to be 4 times as faster. This upgrade will be known as "Subspace Drive Upgrade".

GDI will be able to construct a spy satellite up-link after building their advanced tech center.
This building gives the player view of the entire map, for all of you who haven't played RA2.

The Nod Stealth generator tower will now be stealth itself.

Walls have been added to the game.

Rocket Militia and Missile Squad will now be upsized to squads of 4.

For Nod, there will no longer be a Confessor upgrade. It will be replaced with an upgrade that will double the size of the squad. This upgrade will take twice as long to be complete as the confessor upgrade.

Fanatics now are stealth wile not moving.

Commandos will no longer slow down after c4'n a building.

Nod's Radar Jamming missile will now shut down enemy radar for an entire minute.

All MCVs when updeployed can now run over all vehicles the mammoth tank can run over. For the Scrin MCV any unit under it will be destroyed. This is narratively justified due to the immense radiation from it's "Star Drive" or space engine.

The GDI battle base is now as difficult to destroy as an Advanced Guard Tower.

All Tiberium Harvesters can now turn on a dime.

Orca Strikes will now be much stronger.

Snipers will now one hit kill all infantry and reload faster.

APCs will be 1.3 times as harder to destroy.

When a railgun upgrade is purchased all GDI harvesters will be given a pred style railgun.

All mutants will now deal 3 times as much damage as they did before.

Scrin Shock troopers now come in squads of 5.

Disintegrators now deal twice as much damage to infantry.

Scrin Harvesters are now twice as fast.

Nod Harvesters no longer unstealth while docking at its refinery.

Lightning Spike health has been doubled.

Multiple Motherships are now allowed.

Stealth teams can now hijack any aircraft while flying.

Mini MCVs deploy in half the time it currently takes.
